An experienced Registered Nurse (RGN or RMN) is required to work as Deputy Manager of a 50 bedded nursing home in the Braintree area.

The home specialises in elderly and dementia care and provides a great environment for staff and residents alike.

Details of this Deputy Nursing Home Manager position and what the home is offering:

  • A permanent contract to work 40 hours per week on flexible day shifts, which includes every other weekend and some on-call duty
  • Great pay rates of £21 per hour, which is in line with NHS Band 7 rates and equates to an annual salary of up to £43,680

As Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home and will lead the home and a team of approx. 50 staff in their absence.  Your duties will be split 50/50 between clinical and supernumerary, and you will be responsible for managing and monitoring the planning and delivery of care and will ensure care plans and medication records are correctly updated, undertaking regular clinical audits and supervisions.  

Applicants for this Nursing Home Deputy Manager position should meet the following criteria:

  • NMC registered Adult Nurse/RGN/RN1/RNA or Mental Health Nurse/RMHN/RMN
  • Experienced in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a clinical setting, ideally within the elderly care sector
  • Demonstrate proven elderly and dementia care experience
  • Confident leading, developing and motivating a team of Nurses and HCAs
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC essential standards
