£20.00 - £21.00 p/h (NHS Band 7) – Circa 39.3K | 36 Hours – Nights | Elderly & Dementia Nursing Home – “Good” CQC

A 40+ bedded elderly nursing home on the outskirts of Skipton is currently looking to recruit a Registered Nurse with a background in elderly care to work as Night Nurse Manager.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced elderly care RN who is looking to take the first step into management and gain leadership experience.

Details of this Night Nurse Manager vacancy and what the home is offering:

•             A permanent contract to work 36 hours per week, usually working 3 to 4 nights per week

•             Rates of pay of £20.00 per hour, which is in line with NHS Band 7 rates of pay and equates to a starting salary in the region of £39,300, with £21.00 per hour paid for any overtime hours worked

•             Time + ½ is paid for Bank Holidays and double time is paid for Christmas and New Year

•             6 weeks annual leave

•             A comprehensive induction plus support with revalidation, continuing professional development and attending courses relevant to your role

You will be joining a modern home that provides elderly, dementia and disability care to older adults in beautiful surroundings. The home is currently fully compliant with CQC requirements.

As Night Manager, your responsibilities will involve providing clinical leadership and line management to the care and nursing teams, along with coordinating clinical services during the night shift. You will ensure the safety and security of the service during the night shift, undertaking regular rounds to monitor quality assurance, assisting with emergencies, and providing clinical support.

Candidates for this Night Manager post should meet the following person specification:

•             NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN/RN1/RNA, Mental Health Nurse/RMN/RMHN, or Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD

•             Demonstrate recent managerial/supervisory experience in an elderly and dementia care home setting

•             Good knowledge and understanding of CQC essential standards and Health and Safety legislation

•             Demonstrate good clinical skills and knowledge and demonstrate clinical credibility
