A very large elderly and dementia nursing home in Motherwell currently has a vacancy for an RGN, RMN or RNLD qualified Deputy Manager to join their clinical team.

The home is owned and operated by one of the UK’s largest care groups and provides general nursing, dementia and disability care to older adults from throughout the Lanarkshire area.

Details of this RGN/RMN/RNLD Deputy Nurse Manager position and what the home is offering:

  • 38.5 hours per week, over 5 days full supernumerary

As Nurse Deputy Manager, you will support the Registered Manager in all aspects of the day to day running of the home and will lead the home in their absence.  You will be responsible for managing and monitoring the planning and delivery of care and will ensure care plans and medication records are correctly updated, undertaking regular clinical audits and supervisions. 

Applicants for this RGN/RMN/RNLD Deputy Nurse Manager position should meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified Adult Nurse/RGN, Mental Health Nurse/RMN or Learning Disabilities Nurse/RNLD with up to date NMC registration
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a clinical setting, ideally within the elderly care sector
  • Demonstrate proven elderly and dementia care experience
  • Confident leading, developing and motivating a team
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of Care Inspectorate essential standards
