£35,000 - £41,000 p/a | 37.5 Hrs – Days | Great Benefits | RGN/Nurse Qualified

An experienced RGN/Adult Nurse with managerial experience is required to work as Head of the Ophthalmology Department in a leading West Yorkshire hospital.

Details of this RGN/Head of Ophthalmic Services position are as follows:

  • 37.5 hours per week on flexible day shifts

As RGN/Head of Ophthalmic Services, you will coordinate the day to day running of the department, ensuring a high-quality, safe and effective clinical service that exceeds national quality standards and customer expectations.

You will contribute to service development and quality management, lead and develop the team, ensure clinical governance frameworks are in place, and oversee budgetary management. 

What we are looking for in a Head of Ophthalmic Services:

  • NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN
  • Demonstrate proven experience in ophthalmic diagnostic testing and surgical procedures
  • Have completed substantial post-registration clinical studies in addition to ILS/ALS
  • Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role in a clinical setting, with good working knowledge of Clinical Governance frameworks and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and confident liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
