A fully CQC compliant elderly and dementia care home in St Helens is looking to recruit a Registered Adult Nurse/RGN to join their management team as Nurse Unit Manager.
The 65+ bedded private home provides specialist care for their residents with elderly and dementia care for younger adults.
About the Unit Manager role and what the home is offering:
- A competitive hourly pay of £19.00
- A permanent full-time contract of 43.75 hours per week on day shifts only

In this Unit Manager role, in addition to managing a caseload of residents, you will lead shifts, coordinate care and support with staff supervisions, clinical audits and assist with maintaining regulatory compliance.
What we’re looking for in a Unit Manager:
- NMC Registered Adult Nurse/RGN or Mental Health Nurse/RMN
- Good knowledge and understanding of CQC essential standards and Health and Safety legislation
- Demonstrate good clinical skills and knowledge and demonstrate clinical credibility
- Confident leading a team of RNs and HCAs and able to effectively lead shifts and manage care
- Good clinical knowledge and understanding
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and time-management skill
