An experienced Pharmacist is required to lead and develop the Pharmacy Department of a leading hospital in Reading

What the hospital is offering for the successful Pharmacy Manager:

•             Permanent, full-time contract to work 37.5 hours per week

•             A fantastic annual salary from £45,000 to £52,000 depending on experience

As Pharmacy Manager you will manage a team of experienced pharmacists, technicians, and assistants to provide a first-class service to patients and staff.  You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the pharmacy services, providing effective leadership and clinical direction to the team.  You will coordinate pharmacy services within the hospital ensuring regulatory compliance, adherence to best practice frameworks and will take responsibility for clinical governance relating to medicine management.

Candidates for this Pharmacy Manager role should be/have:

•             Qualified Pharmacist with GPhC registration

•             Minimum of 5-years’ experience in a managerial or senior role within a hospital pharmacy

•             Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills, with a positive, proactive approach to leadership

•             Have an accurate, methodical, and careful approach to medicines management

•             Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools, the Care Standards Act and CQC requirements

•             Proven ability to lead and motivate the team
