A Leicester based care group is currently looking to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) with a background in elderly care homes to work as Quality Matters Manager.

Based at Head Office, as Quality Matters Manager RGN/RMN/RNLD, you will travel to care homes throughout Leicestershire and the East Midlands to support Nurses and Managers in their training and development, with duties including:

  • Reviewing and coordinating all learning resources, policies and procedures
  • Supporting all Nursing staff with NMC revalidation
  • Working with HR/Recruitment to coordinate all training, learning resources and courses
  • Mentoring new nurses and student nurses
  • Contribute to clinical audits, and identify and act upon gaps in staff training

What the home is offering to the successful Quality Matters Manager RGN/RMN/RNLD and details of the role:

  • Office hours, working Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
  • A starting salary in the region of £34,000, which may increase following completion of probation
  • Ongoing support to ensure you succeed in your role
  • Training and development prospects

The skills, experience and qualifications required for this Quality Matters Manager RGN/RMN/RNLD position:

  • NMC registered Adult Nurse, Mental Health Nurse or Learning Disability Nurse
  • Demonstrate proven experience working in UK nursing homes
  • Have completed post-registration studies/training and committed to lifelong learning
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and confident teaching and supporting clinical staff, ideally having completed a recognised mentorship qualification
  • Good IT skills and confident collating information and creating reports
  • A driver with access to a car for work purposes and able to undertake frequent travel for work purposes
  • Able to work clinical shifts as and when required
