A small elderly nursing home in Worthing is currently looking to recruit an experienced Registered Nurse with senior nursing or management experience to work as Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead.

Details of this Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager RGN position and what the successful candidate will receive:

  • 40 hours per week on a permanent basis
  • Day shifts only, with occasional weekends required plus some on-call duties
  • A great annual salary in the region of £40,000 to £45,000 depending on experience
  • Duties split between clinical and supernumerary 
  • A comprehensive induction programme and ongoing training and development

As Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager RGN, you will take responsibility for the clinical management of the home, and your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking assessments for new/prospective and existing residents
  • Coordinating and managing the care and nursing staff, including supervisions and appraisals
  • Ensuring care plans are correctly updated and taking the lead on all aspects of care planning
  • Undertaking risk assessments

Applicants for this Clinical Lead/Deputy Manager RGN position should meet the following criteria:

  • Qualified Adult Nurse/RGN
  • Up to date NMC registration
  • Experienced in a managerial or supervisory capacity in a clinical setting, ideally within the elderly care sector
  • Demonstrate proven elderly and dementia care experience
  • Confident leading, developing and motivating a team with excellent people skills
  • Demonstrate good working knowledge of CQC essential standards
