A leading rehabilitation service in Bradford is looking to hire a Registered Speech and Language Therapist with experience in the field of adult mental health and/or ASD to join their team on a part-time, temporary basis.

As a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will have a unique opportunity to deliver an evidence-based service to meet the needs of the complex client group within an in-patient setting.  You will be working as part of a team and will use your expert skills to assess, advise and intervene with the aim of promoting functional communication systems and optimal independence.  You will be able to train others, promote good practice and maintain a successful total communication environment.  Screening, assessing and managing eating, drinking and swallowing difficulties would also form part of this role

What we’re looking for in a Specialist Speech and Language Therapist:

  • A Registered Speech and Language Therapist with the HCPC (Health Care Professions Council)
  • Experienced in the field of adult mental health and/or ASD
  • Dysphagia qualified
  • An understanding of SLT process/interventions and can take a “hands on” approach
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Passionate about student education
