A community-based housing support service in Leeds is looking to recruit an experienced Support Worker to work as Team Leader.
You will be joining an organisation which offers housing related support to people aged 16-24 with diverse needs including care-leavers, those at risk of homelessness and unaccompanied asylum seeker children.
Details of this Team Leader role and what the service is offering:
- A permanent contract to work 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri 9am-5pm)
- Competitive hourly pay rates in the region of £12.25 to £12.75 depending on experience
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities
As Team Leader, you will lead a team in the delivery of all aspects of housing support to young people, including pre- and post-tenancy services and interventions to prevent homelessness. You will ensure effective service delivery that provides young people with the necessary housing support to meet their needs and opportunities to develop independent living skills and resilience to enable them to achieve their full potential. You will play a key role in the multi-agency programme and will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure an inclusive and high-quality service to service users.
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience working with young people in a community outreach setting, ideally with experience supporting care leavers
- Good leadership, communication and interpersonal skills and a positive, proactive approach to management
- A genuine passion for supporting people and making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable young adults
