A leading private hospital in the Solihull area is looking to recruit a Healthcare Assistant to join their theatre department on a permanent full-time basis.

About the Theatre Assistant role and what the hospital is offering:

  • A competitive hourly pay of £9.50 and £18,525 annually
  • A permanent full-time contract of 37.5 hours per week
  • Day and night shifts

As a Theatre Assistant you will support patients throughout the task encouraging them to promote their own health and well-being when possible. Identify and report to an appropriate person any significant changes that might affect the patient’s health and well-being during escort duties and moving/handling.

What we’re looking for in a Theatre Assistant:

  • Previous experience of working as a Healthcare Assistant (or equivalent) in a hospital setting
  • Experience within theatres is desired
  • NVQ2, NVQ3 or equivalent qualifications
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and time-management skills
  • Good clinical knowledge and understanding
